After finishing the Ph.D. study (1984-1985) on Faculty of Economy of VSB – Technical University in Ostrava she worked as a programmer in Purchase Department in NHKG (now ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.). Since 1993 she has been working at the VSB – Technical university of Ostrava. She is specialized in aplication of statistical methods in quality management and business process management. She has been actively cooperating with industrial companies. In 2003 she became an associated and in 2010 full professor of the study branch of Industrial Systems Management at the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava.
In the years 1994-2011 she was a member of the site of accredited certification in House of Technology Ostrava (DTO CZ Ltd.). She was actively involved in CSJ (Czech Society for Quality) - particularly as a member of an group of experts on statistical methods.
She is a member of TNK 4 (Technical Standards Committee 4) at the Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing in Prague.
Her pedagogical and scientific and research work is focused on the application of statistical methods in quality management, especially on the issue of a comprehensive approach to statistical process control. She has also been dealing with the problems of modern management approaches (Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, Smart Manufacturing, Mass Customization).
She is author or co-author of six monographs.
